Bert an Ernie

The truth about Bert an Ernie is shocking. Using their cute
little day time show for kids as a cover. The real "Bert Willis"
and "Ernie Jackson" were street thugs selling smack on the
side. The FBI had no knowledge of this until years after the
show was canceled for power rangers. Trial still pending.

Skate Camp 2008

You thought a twisted ankle was gonna stop me from going to camp?
Not a chance. I had the level 10 extreme pleasure of going to camp
with the tilt mode homies. The Crew (from left to right): Ev's,
Life Story, Swiss Bearings, AV's, Wyatt Lee, Father, Son. Set up
camp on the other side of the lake. Hit up the national park on
Saturday for some rock jumping water slides. No bears this year.
Father had some garlic issues that scared most of the wild life in
the area. The camera's were shooting though, so I got my 2008
camp collection photos that I'll be putting in my memory box
forever. Props to that one camper that flew all the way out from the
Netherlands to skate the best camp ever. See you next year:-)

Montage 2

This is my friend Kyle. I've known Kyle since we were little kids (so
about 6 years now). You may know Kyle from your local library? If
not, let me give you the 411 on this little guy. He's cool. Now with
that said, you gotta checkout some of the many cool video projects
he's put together. My favorite as of now, is "2.0 Montage" which he
edited for his site. Thanks Kyle for all the clips we've filmed,
hopefully after surgery we'll have more to come.

My Dad, Mr Painter

The gentleman you see with the guitar in the first scene is
my dad. He would tell me about his time in Hollywood
before he really started singing and I always wondered how
he'd be on camera. Thanks to the popularity of "The
Virginian", I get to see my dad playing on the big screen.

Operation Bear Paw is Delayed

It's sad, but needs to be done. After Fridays MRI, the doctors told me this morning they would like more time to review the results off the new MRI and compare them to the old MRI results. This will only make for a more efficient surgery and an easier/faster recovery time. My cardiogram test on Friday is a different matter all together. Stay tuned for that depressing blog.

MRI: Magnetic Resonance Imaging is to visualize the structure and function of the body. In my way of saying it, really detailed pictures on your muscles and bones in the area photographed.

Are You Kidding Me!!! (Part 2)

OK, I still think the kid inside my car is a complete moron
and will get his ass kicked sooner then later, but he didn't
take my skate DVD. He was messing with my DVD unit
inside the car somehow for the DVD to get stuck inside the
unit. I tried putting a DVD in yesterday. All these crazy
noises and problems came up and so did my Lakai DVD.
Thanks the all mighty. Words to live by kids. "You don't

4th of July Weekend

Went to South Shore Lake Tahoe this year with a group of friends I know from San Diego. Had one of the best 4th of July's I could ask for. Met a lot of nice people like this family pictured above. I hope all of you had a happy/safe 4th like I did. Here's a video clip of the fireworks I got off my digi cam below. Yes, their is Britney Spears playing in the background.

A Tribute to my Best Friend Dante

I know we'll all experience a loss of a loved one in our life
time, but I didn't see this one coming. Dante was only 5
years old when he passed away. He had many more years
to be with us and it 's hard to believe he's gone forever. I
made this video as a reminder to me and to anyone that
cares, life is fragile. It can be taken from you in a second.
"Dante, I love you and I will see you once again".

Are You Kidding Me!!!

I'm sorry people, but I have to get this out. What the
fuck is wrong w/ this world??? I go to get my truck washed
today. They double checked it to make sure it could fit
through the wash OK. So when I saw a guy riding in it
through the wash, I didn't think much of it other then a
precaution the car wash was taking. That dumb piece of
shit that was in my car took my Lakai DVD. I knew I
couldn't do anything about it because just like all car
washes, they have a sign out front that says, "we are not
responsible for any of your belongings". It should really
say, "we'll take what we want so go fuck yourself".
At this point, my next step is to write a nice letter
threatening management that they'll lose me as a
customer along with some friends and family. If they
give me a free car wash, I'll go back w/ eagle eyes. If
not, I go down the street w/ eagle eyes. Lesson of the
day: Clear all valueable items out of your vehical before
taking it to get washed by strangers. Thanks Common

Fuck cars, it's about your board kids. The so cal freeway 405 got
shut down to one skateboarder. This guy took "Go Skateboard
Day" to the next level. Psyched!

A Rolling Perspective

Color Magazine let me submit a photo to them for their
Rolling Perspective gallery. The photo was to be shot
from your hand while riding your board. Basically, look
down at your board while riding and shoot (easier said
then done). Anyways, here is my little photo shot that I
submitted. It's not my best work, but I was psyched to
be apart of Color Magazines article.

Spain Wins Euro Cup FInals

For all you non-soccer fans, one of the biggest international
soccer tournament's was held in Austria and Switzerland
the past few weeks. Euro Cup 2008. Which consists of all
the qualifying countries in Europe. The tournament came
to an end this Sunday as Spain wins 1-0 over Germany. I
was going for Portugal, but since they got knocked out, I
had no choice but to go for Spain. I mean, it's the best
country to skate. So hear is the day after celebration when
the team came home. Wish the U.S. had this passion for
soccer. Maybe we will in World Cup 2010.

The Point of Return

This July 15th, I will inhale a gas that will knock me out,
just like if I were drinking the entire night. Only
instead of a beastly woman taking advantage,
I'm getting cut open. I'm getting my ankle
scoped and ready for battle. Doctors can't say
how long recover time is because it depends on
how good I rehab it, but I'm hoping within 2
months after, I should be skating again. Let's
hope this is the final stage for this god awful
injury. May the force be with me.

Tenzing Norgay

Edmund Hillary was among the first to reach the top of Mount
Everest with the help of Tenzing Norgay. Great achievements
are rarely accomplished single handily, that's why today, I'm
thanking Ryan Allan (my Tenzing Norgay). Will I take more idea's
from him? Absolutely, but it's all appreciated and non intentional.
Hugs lil buddy. You've help me more then I could ever ask for.

The Debate

In todays world, I see a lot of judgment corrupted behind the
car consumers or consumers in general. When did we lower
are expectations of quality products to allow "Function" to
follow "Form". Well in this case, the tables have turned.
Form follows function finally in the everlasting battle of
good consumer vs smart consumer. The Toyota Prius is my
newest craze. But due to my insecurities, it's hard to trade
a BMW M3 for a Toyota Prius. So the debate continues with
me and I'm sure many others, weather I should trade cool
for not so cool. Funny though, at the rate we use gas, it's
only gonna get hotter hahahaha....... "I make joke yea"

Jace Jonathan Cannon

On June 12th, 2008 at around 3:55am, Jace Jonathan Cannon
was born weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces. I would like to
congratulate my brother Jon and his lovely wife Kristi for
making a beautiful baby. I am a very happy uncle:-) I will
do my best to influence him in the skateboard arts.

Let the Healing Begin

Operation Bear Paw began the day I wrote my last blog. The operation consisted of not being a moron. With that said, I have been a moron. Last sunday at San Francisco’s “Bay to Breakers”, I walked almost 5 straight miles with no good support for my ankle. Let’s just say, operation Bear Paw suffered heavy losses. For those of you that don’t know about Bay to Breakers, it’s an all out street party covering a distance of 7 miles. Click here to view the madness created by Permagrinfilms.com.

So after Bay to Breakers, I felt like I got the worst out of my system. Still focusing on my goal, I got in touch w/ people that maybe had some idea’s of a good Physical Therapy group in the bay area. Thank goodness for my friend Cardi and his social skills (chick magnet). He introduced me to a friend of his in San Diego a few months back that worked in Sports Therapy here in the bay area. After a few emails, Cardi got me in touch w/ Tony Tognetti. Now the first time I met Tony in San Diego, we talked briefly about the ankle then continued to have a crazy night. From what I remember, I woke up with bunny ears. Anyways, after talking to Tony on the phone and making an appointment, I was anxious to checkout the facility and see what his opinion on the injury was.

Walking into Apex was inspiring. I know that sounds stupid, but that’s how I felt. The facility was lit up with natural light, a clean looking setup throughout the workout floor and a staff as easy going, supportive and motivating as you could get. Seeing Tony in his work environment was great. He stay focused and professional the entire time I was doing exercises while bringing up our last trip in San Diego. His assistant Laura was there as well to help maintain the efficiency of my workout. Toward the end of the session I was well informed of what steps needed to be taken first and important parts of my ankle other therapist failed to address.

At the end of the day, I was excited I found a Physical Therapy group that felt right. Starting next week, I’ll be going 3 times a week giving 100% commitment to healing my ankle. Operation Bear Paw just took a giant step in completing it’s mission. My hopes are high this time around and I’ll be updating the progress of my ankle as time goes on.
